We're very glad to announce the establishment of an 'official' unofficial discussion forum. Those of you who have been part of this site over the years would be familiar with the ups and downs of the previous message boards and guestbooks.

We thought it was time to host a forum that would provide the opportunity not only to bring the history together, but also to provide a sense of place or community to share an interest in all things Laingian. For better or worse, a virtual Kingsley Hall.

For others who would like to leave a note in passing, we are maintaining the Guestbook as it is, and we would always welcome a note there:

All of the messages from Guestbooks prior to September 2001 (that we've been able to recover from earlier guestbook sites) are now stored in the archive section of the forum. View the Guestbook Archives.

And - for anyone who would like to be kept up to date on the new things that happen on the site:

is a monthly newsletter summarizing changes and new entries to the Unofficial R.D. Laing Site. In addition to notes about changes, this newsletter contains anchored links to take you directly to new entries under the lengthier headings, such as the Bibliography and Articles and Book Reviews sections.

We hope the newsletter will prove to be an effective way of staying up-to-date with the ever-expanding list of books, reviews and articles. Of course, your email address will be stored exclusively and privately for the purpose of sending you the letter, and will not be transferred to any other party.
